What you can expect

Once you have booked on to the trip, Keith will be in touch via email to provide further information on meeting points, group information and risk acknowledgements. It will also give you an early opportunity to provide us with any extra needs your group may require.

A break down of what you can expect on the day:

  • Meet Keith at the start point for a welcome chat and briefing.
  • Buoyancy aids / life jackets are provided and it is essential that you wear the right safety gear. If you are booked on to one of our paddleboard sessions, wetsuits will also be provided but if you have your own wetsuits though you are welcome to use them, but we will bring enough along for your group.
  • Out of your 1.5hr paddleboarding session, you will have at least 1 hour on the water. The session will involve an introduction on how to paddle the giant paddleboard, as well as basic strokes and working as a team to get to where you want to go!
  • Out of a 2hr kayaking/canoeing session, you will spend most of that time on the water following an initial safety talk.
  • Keith will be joining you alongside on an individual paddleboard or kayak, to give pointers and provide the tour including local history and wildlife or just enjoy a gentle paddle around. Just let him know what you would like from the tour.
  • If there’s opportunity, you can end the MegaSUP paddleboarding session with a few jumps off the MegaSUP paddleboard into the water!
  • Please note that depending on how quickly you are ready to start the session on the water, the time spent on the water may increase slightly. Keep in mind that you and your party will have to exit the water 10 minutes before the end to return all wetsuits/buoyancy aids to us.

What to bring

  • swimming costumes (it will reduce time spent on the shore getting ready if you are already wearing your swim suits on arrival)
  • waterproof trousers if kayaking (a waterproof top will be provided but feel free to bring your own jacket if you’d prefer)
  • shoes you don’t mind getting wet
  • warm hat for colder weather
  • towels
  • warm and dry clothes for afterwards
  • a sense of adventure!
